Seen while out pulling Garlic Mustard (GM) in evening. One White was seen on GM (some references infer that Mustard Whites may incorrectly lay their eggs on GM). The area was adjacent to the same wetland where M Whites have been seen in previous years.

I found 3 Great Spangled Fritillary caterpillars this morning in my wild violet patch! I noticed that the edge of the leaves looked like they had been chewed on so I looked under the brown leaves under the violets and found the caterpillars attached. I transplanted these violets just for this reason! No butterflies lately but the caterpillars are just as exciting!
