Powdered Dancer
(Argia moesta)
The Powdered Dancer occurs throughout Wisconsin, but I did not see it in central Wisconsin in 2003. In 2004 I found my first idviduals from Wisconsin along the Puchyan River in Green Lake County where it crosses Highway J. The males of this species are extremely white looking and are unmistakable. The males contrast greatly with the females which are very blue like the Blue-fronted Dancer.
