The Ebony Jewelwing is very common throughout Wisconsin, and trout fisherman, no doubt, have seen this species many times. The following photos include a photo of communal egg laying, where an American Rubyspot was taking turns landing on one of the egg laying Ebony Jewelwing females. Another photo shows a close-up view of this.
