Location: Olbrich Gardens, Madison
Mid-70s and sunny, 1:00-3:00. Monarchs everywhere. Most on purple butterfly bush, but a fair number were attracted to these orange flowers as well. Found 2 white-lined sphinx moths. Very cool. Strange to think that I'd never seen one of these moths, and in the last week and a half I've seen them in FOUR different locations (one was in northern Illinois, so not reported here). I notice that alot of other folks are seeing them too, so we're fortunate to have lots of these visitors this year.
