Location: 15 mile diameter circle centered near Sister Bay.
This was the 12th annual Sister Bay NABA butterfly count. Five observers found 36 species, which is the fourth highest of the twelve years. But we only saw 277 individuals, which is just one more than the lowest number of the 12 years! Highlights include an Acadian Hairstreak, White Admiral, high number of Baltimore Checkerspots, 9 skippers, Northern Cloudywing, Eastern Tiger Swallowtail (black female), and Mustard White. The Dorcas Copper was not yet flying.
