Butterfly sighting

Jul 29 2017

Darleen Horman

Location: Our yard in Allenton
Washington County

Calm, sunny day. The butterflies were not cooperating for photos. A mating pair of monarchs were carried off by a large male monarch who finally gave up and left them alone. Was able to get pictures of other things. Sawfly larva on Quaking aspen, Ruby meadowhawk, Cherry Dagger moth caterpillar, Band-winged meadowhawk, and a Katydid.
