The second Tiger Beetle hatch at Avoca just happened a few days ago so I went on a search for the Ghost Tiger Beetle but had no luck. I did see six lizards and was able to photograph three of them, one adult and two juvies with the blue tail. One Female Yellow Form Lance Tipped Darner let me get close enough for a few pictures. Then on my way out and after seeing hundreds of Festive and Big Sand Tiger Beetles I was excited to see a Northern Barrens Tiger Beetle. It has been many years since I have photographed one in that same spot and was like seeing an old friend.
