Brockway Road, Stanton Road, Hunter Haven Road, and near Hwy 54. 9.5 miles of transects in our long-term elfin monitoring sites that have produced the most sightings of each kind of elfin when they are early in their flights. 65-75 degrees F, sunny. We saw 1 unidentified elfin and 5 unidentified ladies. The Olympia Marble count is more than 90% below the average for these sites at this stage of the flight. Our seeing no Hoary Elfins when visiting all our best sites for seeing them in central Wisconsin suggests a low year for them in that area.
