Henry's Elfin probably laying eggs on American Hazlenut leaves (Corylus americana) where it frequently returned after our harrassment trying to photo it. [This is an interesting observation. I never heard of this species using Corylus as a host plant and I looked through a number of books and couldn't find any that listed this species. Time for more research! MR]
