It was after 6:30pm and cloudy, so I didn't expect to see much. I certainly didn't expect to see a bear walking straight toward me. After I realized it was probably a yearling and not a cub or an adult, I decided to get some photos before it saw me and ran off. None of them were in focus because it was steadily walking. It got very close and never saw me, so I decided to let it know I was there and it took off. It was only 8 paces from me.
