Location: Crex Meadows SWA
Basically hit the same spots on Crex that I had visited on May 7. Olympia Marble numbers were way down. Simuliidae (Black fly) numbers were way up; they were pests. Crex needs a good soaking rain--there were simply no damp spots on the gravel roads. Each spring I gotta relearn Dusky Winged Skippers--hope these IDs are right. Afternoon temperature was about 65 degrees, wind was light.
