Butterfly sighting

Jul 11 2010

SWBA Field Trip

Location: Sandhill Wildlife Area
Wood County

It was cloudy for most of the trip, but the rain held off. The Hairstreaks, Karner Blues and Skippers cooperated nicely. Swamp Milkweed was popular with many Monarch caterpillars, and a few plants were almost stripped of leaves. As can be seen from the photos, we also saw a lot of other things.
