A very hot day, around 90F, light winds There were a lot of pearl crescents enjoying the black-eyed Susans, as well as some silvery checkerspots. You may be tempted to wander off trail to chase some butterflies at this little jewel of a prairie. Resist the temptation, because there is a lot of poison ivy around!
