Location: Barrens between Millston and Black River Falls

Sites included Dike 17, Bauer-Brockway Complex, Stanton Creek Road, and nearby Phlox sites on other roads. We walked about 10 miles of transects at about 18 Phlox Moth monitoring units and 14+ Karner Blue sites. We found only 4 Phlox Moths. Because the Phlox flower phenology was on average close to the usually right phenology for good Phlox Moth detection, this seems like a low Phlox Moth brood so far. 37 of the Karner Blues were males, 5 were females, and 2 we didn't see well enough to tell gender.
