Still very dry up here--there were no puddles at all on the gravel road. Most butterflies seen were nectaring on Joe-pye-weed, boneset, or the occasional swamp milkweed. Watched a male Giant Swallowtail pursue a female. She seemed more interesting in nectar, though. Rough blazingstar was just starting to bloom. FOY Leonard's skipper (on Stolte Rd.); Karners, also on Stolte Rd., were barely hanging on. Sedge skippers are done. Butterfly numbers were low.
