Butterfly sighting

Sep 20

Steve Kinyon

Location: Fort McCoy, at southern entrance to Drop Zone
Monroe County

10:30 am to 2:30 pm. Cloudy to full sun, 82°
Returned to see if the Common Wood Nymph was still flying where I had seen it last week. I didn't see any. Quite a few Common Buckeyes, on flowers and along the road, near turkey tracks. The Regal Fritillaries were attracted to the blue color of my bag.
