This was the only spotting here on this day, perhaps due to the much cooler temps and high wind, or perhaps due to me being preoccupied in finding prickly-pear cactus, which we eventually did! This individual was found injured and unable to fly. At one point, my daughter had it in the car, wanting to take it home, but we let nature take its course.
