I spotted most of these butterflies on a trail between a field and a large natural pond where there's a lot of tall grass and Goldenrod. Some were seen in my flower garden and on flowers in potted outdoor plants. It was sunny and warm today, but extremely windy and the butterflies were having a lot of trouble in flight. Most hung close to the ground.
