Night was definitely the time to be out...the day was brutally hot! Not much day activity on the bluff prairies (facing Mississippi River) except Common Wood Nymphs and Great Spangled Frits. Best action was along moist gravel roads in bottomland hardwood forests...Snout City! Also the Silver-spotted Skipper was repeatedly tapping its abdomen on the substrate while puddling.
