Jim Ebner
Location: Okauchee Lake west shore,
This female was reared from an egg found on October 15. I observed the oviposition, and brought the egg to my home. The egg hatched in 5 days. The larva was kept indoors and fed Kale. It eclosed Nov. 2 and emerged Nov 7. completing its cycle in 23 days! Before releasing it to the fortunes of fate, I photographed it, hoping for the best. |

After brunch, at about 10:30 a.m., I was walking with Janet Mueller who spotted this lone Painted Lady by the Bay View Public Library. It flew a bit and landed in the alley where I took this photo. Warm for November, the high that afternoon was in the 50s. |
