Big Sand Tiger Beetle

Cicindela formosa generosa

Common in sandy soil throughout Waushara County. I have also seen this species in Jackson and Juneau Counties, often in association with C. scutellaris, and C. repanda if water was nearby.

Notes: throughout WI wherever habitat suitable; sparsely vegetated dry sand; May to July, Spetember
